大將神位 General Shrine
在村口村邊設置大將神位是開平當地的習俗，大將神即哪吒，他是中國古代神話傳說中的神仙，是佛道儒並尊的降魔天神。此神位面向通往村落道路入口處，主要用於擋煞，保佑村莊平安。大將神位除了哪吒外，還有一個八卦圖，八卦具有擋煞化煞的作用，可以將煞氣往四方擋散，達到瓦解之功效。

Placing a General Shrine located at the village entrance is a common tradition in Kaiping. The General refers to Nezha, a mythical figure revered in Buddhism, Daoism and Confucianism, is believed to ward off bad spirits. These shrines, often facing the village road, include a Bagua – eight trigrams – to disperse negative energy and ensure the village’s safety.
